About The Helper Collective:

The Helper Collective offers practical personal assistant services in Cold Lake, Alberta and surrounding areas. We provide flexible support for errands, event setup, organizing, senior assistance, and everyday household help. Our mission is to deliver dependable, respectful, and confidential service with a personal touch.

 

Scope of Services:

Services include non-specialized support and task-based assistance. We do not provide:

  • Professional trades (plumbing, electrical, etc.)
  • Medical or therapeutic care
  • Hazardous tasks or duties requiring specialized training

All services are performed at our discretion in safe, respectful environments. Clients are responsible for securing pets and disclosing known risks or sensitivities. The Helper Collective reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service if safety concerns are identified.

 

Consent and Access:

By booking with The Helper Collective, you agree to:

  • Grant access to your premises for scheduled services
  • Provide clear and accurate instructions
  • Sign our Consent & Service Agreement prior to any in-person visit

Payments and Supplies:

  • All services must be prepaid or paid at the time of completion
  • Shopping or errand-based tasks require advance funds or pre-purchase arrangements
  • No credit is extended unless agreed to in writing
  • Receipts are issued for all purchases made on your behalf
  • Clients may supply their own materials or request us to purchase them using prepaid funds
  • A supply fee may apply for items such as bins, labels, or organizers

Travel and Mileage:

  • All packages include a mileage allotment
  • Additional mileage is billed at $0.50 per km
  • Services beyond a 60 km radius may incur an additional travel fee or require special arrangements

Deposits:

A flat $50 deposit is required to confirm all bookings. This deposit secures your scheduled time and will be applied to your final service total.

• Fully refundable with 24 hours’ notice

• Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice or no-shows will result in a forfeited deposit.

 

Please provide a minimum of 24 hours’ notice to reschedule without penalty. I’ll always do my best to accommodate your needs.

 

Promo & Last-Minute Spots:

All promotional and last-minute bookings must be paid in full at time of booking. These sessions are non-refundable and not transferable to any other date beyond the specific promo or last-minute time window.

 

Cancellations and Rescheduling:

  • A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required for cancellations
  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled service forfeit deposit
  • Exceptions are made in the case of emergencies or hazardous weather
  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and must be confirmed by email or phone

Liability Disclaimer:

The Helper Collective takes care to ensure all services are delivered safely and respectfully. However, we are not liable for:

  • Accidental damage, loss, or injury
  • Product quality or vendor policies for items purchased on your behalf
  • Any outcomes resulting from incomplete, inaccurate, or withheld information from the client

The Helper Collective is not liable for the actions, products, or policies of third-party vendors, including store errors, delivery issues, or defective items purchased at the client’s request.

 

Privacy Policy:

We are committed to protecting your privacy.

What we collect:

  • Your name, contact information, and service details
  • Property access instructions (if applicable)

How we use your information:

  • To schedule, coordinate, and deliver services
  • For payment records and internal documentation
  • With your permission, non-identifying before/after photos may be used for promotional purposes

We do not:

  • Share or sell your information
  • Use images or personal content without express written consent

Testimonials, reviews, or photos will never be shared publicly without express written consent. You may revoke photo use consent at any time in writing.

You may request access to your personal data or request corrections or deletion at any time by contacting us.

 

Client Conduct and Good Faith Agreement:

We strive to offer flexible, honest, and thoughtful service. In return, we ask that clients:

  • Communicate respectfully and clearly
  • Honor appointment times and payment terms
  • Provide safe working conditions and access to agreed-upon areas

Due to the nature of personal services, completed sessions are non-refundable. If a client is dissatisfied, reasonable efforts will be made to address concerns or offer a credit toward future services, at the discretion of The Helper Collective.

 

Communications via email, text, or social media are considered binding once confirmed by both parties. Clients are responsible for checking and responding to communication related to their service bookings.
